The White Butterfly

This is my first butterfly and it's a white one.  I mostly like the green and white shades around the butterfly. Entering this microcosm still gives me a lot of pleasure like sneaking in their lives but so far no bug complained.

Flying Lady

Yes, an other lady bug.  It's my first flying one.  I had this photo for a long time and I saw it a couple of days ago.  In some way it attracted me with its warmth and I just had to do it.  Go go lady, this is what I call freedom!

Ms Chick will visit me soon!

Some week ago I discovered - through Cathleen Rehfeld's beautiful painting at dailypaintworks.com - the traveling chicken.  I was amazed with the idea and I immediately made my application.  And how lucky can I be?  From more than 30 artists who patiently wait for Ms Chick in the waiting list, I jumped to the fifth place because she will come to Europe and as a european artist I will have the privilege to host her much earlier than others.

I will definitely tell you when she will come since I will also paint her and share my painting with all the other artists who have already done so and the artists who will do so after my turn.
Please check who the traveling chicken is and what's going on.  I am sure it's the most globe-trotting chicken of the planet. :P

The spiral of life

I wanted to do something simple after my last painting that took me some time.  But in the end it came up so well that now it's one of my favourite ever.

This is a close up of the flower of rhododendron. An other close up for my nature micro collection. This specific painting took me more time than I expected, I wanted to feel well with each part of it and I now do feel well with it.

Lady bug on leaf

6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) canvas on 10" x 10" (25 x 25 cm) wood

An other lady bug on leaf.  I've left part of the wood unpainted to show off the main part of the forest the lady lives in.  And because otherwise it wouldn't have a difference if it was painted on any medium. The painting is a bit heavy because of the wood and it doesn't need a frame.

I am preparing a personal exhibition for October. The subject is "micro in nature" and from now on I am going to post a lot of micro nature small paintings.  This is the first one.  I am fascinated by nature, especially in her micro and macro form and my decision to chose this subject makes me really happy.

Butterfly light

"Butterfly light" is a commission I recently finished.  It's also a way to say thanks to spring, I am so grateful that sun came back, I had missed him so much during winter and I need to paint nature as much as I can.
